Molly catalogued relics with obsessive precision, and Jake wandered, always listening, always sensing something the others could not. One evening, he felt drawn toward a section of collapsed ruins. No reason, no evidence, only instinct. When he began digging, he uncovered a hidden chamber, and inside it waited something impossible. The mummy did not feel dead, even wrapped in ancient cloth. Its presence felt aware. The scent reached them first. Sweet, floral, wrong. The substance pulsed softly, almost like a heartbeat. The moment he uncorked it, the room changed. Lavender flooded the air. Some smelled green, others yellow. Marcus and Molly collapsed instantly. The visions struck them like physical violence. They saw the face of Demon Claw, green scales, blood red eyes, yellow skin stretched tight across impossible bone, and ebony tusks.
